Rebel Of The Keys

Rebel of the Keys is a feature length documentary that charts the life and times of Warsaw Ghetto survivor André Tchaikowsky, a renowned pianist, composer and ‘enfant-terrible’. His story is interwoven with the modern day journey of bringing his opera ‘The Merchant of Venice’ to the world stage, some 30 years after his death.

It was selected for The Open City Documentary Festival 2017 and is in competition at The Warsaw Jewish Film Festival. It has also screened in venues including The Warsaw Philharmonic, JW3, Chapter Cinema Cardiff, The Rialto Cinema Auckland and at Pontio as part of an event run by Bafta Cymru.
